Tara School, Inc., is a nonprofit, tax-exempt, Christian educational corporation, licensed by the State of Virginia, with 36 years of  experience in providing support services to students in Northern Virginia. Tara School, Inc., does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, sex, disability, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, employment, and admission policies.

High School Courses: 
Tara Learning Center, a subsidiary of Tara School, Inc., offers high school and college-level courses (one-on-one) appropriate for fulfilling high school credit requirements to include: English, mathematics,  history and civics, science, foreign languages, and electives.  French, Latin, Spanish, composition, science, and math courses are available one-on-one and to groups of 10 or more students in a classroom format.  Students will receive a report card from Tara School, Inc., to add to high school records.

High School Completion Program:
An educational agenda and course sequence are developed for each student who enrolls in the high school completion program at Tara Learning Center. This program is designed to assist students who want to accelerate their educational experience and for those who want to complete their high school education after an interruption. Records for high school students are prepared in a professional format. Students are kept informed of yearly college testing opportunities and basic requirements for college entry.

Record Maintenance and Academic Advisement/Supervision:
Final Records:
A four-year cumulative high school record for submission to colleges will be prepared with the Tara School, Inc., seal for students who have earned their high school diploma while enrolled in the High School Completion Program (one-on-one) at Tara Learning Center (call office for price list).

Diplomas:
Depending on the level and quality of course work, end-of-year testing, and college board test result, an academic or a general diploma will be awarded by Tara School, Inc. Please see the office for the diploma requirements.

Proctoring:
Tara School, Inc., has proctored tests for Penn State University, Liberty University, Indiana University, University of Oklahoma, and Accelerated Christian Education at all levels - high school, college, and graduate.  Tara Learning Center can proctor tests for all institutions.

Testing:
Tara Learning Center administers Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) to high school students.  These are normally given at the end of the school year to measure achievement; the results must be submitted to state agencies to confirm that students are progressing.  Tara Learning Center also administers intelligence and career tests.

Advisement:
Mrs. Suder, B.A. Education, M.S. Educational Administration, a former Christian school principal and college advisor is available as a speaker and/or consultant to homeschool groups.  She explains college testing, application procedures, significance of SAT and PSAT, advisability of career testing, and intelligence testing.

Consultant:
Tara Learning Center contracts to Christian schools to teach specific subjects.
