Experience
A member of the Virginia State Bar, Ellen served as Field Legislative Counsel for Concerned Women for America in Washington, DC. There she conducted research, writing, and legislative advocacy on a variety of public policy issues, including abortion, family, education, and religious liberty.
Ellen married Tom Rogers in 1992. They homeschooled their four children (now all either in college or post-college) through high school. For the past 10 years, Ellen has been teaching classes to homeschoolers on such diverse subjects as worldview studies, history, religion, public speaking, and drama. She served on the Board of Directors of SAIL, a nonprofit homeschool teaching cooperative in Winchester, VA, and she currently teaches courses both there and at Tara Learning Center.
