Registration
Registration for the 2024-2025 academic year has closed. Early registration for the 2025-2026 academic year for current and returning TLC students will begin in January 2025. Regular registration for new students begins in February 2025.
Students must be rising 7th graders and at least 12 years old by September 1 to register for 7th grade classes. See the Course Catalog for the required grade levels and/or prerequisites for individual classes.
Early Registration. It is highly recommended that you register early, i.e., before May 31, 2025 — and here's why:
- Lower Registration Fee. After May 31, 2025, the close of the regular registration period, the registration fee increases from $50/student to $75/student.
- Class Sizes Are Limited. Some classes fill up quickly; early registration is the best way to secure your student's registration.
- "Course Corrections." The Registration Form gives you an opportunity to help us determine whether any courses should be added to the schedule or offered at a different time. Registration Form survey data received early is used to determine whether a schedule change (e.g., such as adding a class) for the upcoming year is warranted.

Semester Plan payments are due on or before August 1 and December 1.

Discounts: We offer a 20% tuition discount for enrolling in three or more courses per family. Please contact the director at [email protected] for more information if you have any questions.
Finally, note also that the World Literature/Writing (Honors) course is discounted at $115/semester (if paid by semester) or $200/year (if paid annually). This course is only available to students who have completed the American and/or British Literature survey courses.

Invoices/payment stubs will be mailed to each family. Please return the payment stub with your payment(s).
Zelle Payment. Tuition payments, as well as your registration fee, may now be made directly online using Zelle and the email address "[email protected]". Please check with your banking institution for guidance on how to use Zelle.
Annual Plan payments are due on or before August 1.

- Lab materials fee (all science classes): $40 per student to be paid along with tuition (one check, please) in the August 1 payment.

Step 1: Print* and Complete a Registration Form
To enroll new or returning students in any course at Tara Learning Center, complete pages 1 to 4 of the Registration Form below.

*The "Fill & Sign" or "E-sign" feature in Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to type directly into the Registration Form PDF before printing and mailing. Statement of Faith and Participation Agreement signatures can also be entered digitally into the PDF.

Please bear in mind that sometimes classes fill quickly. If a class is full, we will indicate this as soon as possible on the 2025-26 Courses page. You may still register for a filled class; in such cases, your student will be placed on a waiting list and you will be notified if an opening becomes available or if an additional section of the same class is offered.
Step 2: Mail or Hand Deliver the Completed Form/Registration Fee
Next, email, send by regular mail, or bring the completed Registration Form, along with the appropriate registration fee(s), to Tara Learning Center (location and hours). Checks should be made payable to "Tara School, Inc." The registration fee is $50/student ($75/student if registering after May 31, 2025).

For families and students that are new to Tara Learning Center, we will set up a meeting for you with the Director, Mrs. Karen Scott, to discuss your student's needs and to give you a chance to see the facilities.
